We will recommend DR. Heitman to all our friends and family who may be in need of a Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgeon. Dr. Heitman and office staff are courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Ms. Wynne, PA was very helpful and understanding with my spouse that has ALZ. My spouse had to have his pacemaker battery replaced. This would have been very stressful, but Dr. Heitman, office staff and Lawnwood Outpatient staff were very understanding, helpful, professional in all areas of caring for my spouse. I was put at ease throughout this procedure. Thank you for medical expertise.

I recently met Dr. Heitman due to my needing a by-pass heart operation. I was immediately put at ease during this first meeting. I found Dr. Heitman very calming and explained the upcoming procedure in detail. He visited me the day of the surgery prior to the operation to once again put me at ease. I later found out that Dr. Heitman is ranked as the finest in his field. I feel very blessed to have met him and he was the chief surgeon for my operation. His follow up after the surgery was in depth

He took the time to assure that I was comfortable and understood all aspects of the surgery and expectations following the surgery. A true professional all the way. His NO BS approach, and direct face-to-face intervention with the facts, convinced me that I had to act on my condition, NOW. Likely saved my life. One year after my Aortic Valve replacement, I am back to leading a normal life, just like I was years ago. A more dedicated professional you will NOT find!
