Duke earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. During his military career he served as the Chief of Otolaryngology at both domestic and oversees assignments. Dr. Duke then completed a fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery at Georgia Regents University (GRU). Following his fellowship, Dr. Duke was appointed to Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Endocrinology and served as the Associate Surgical Director of the GRU Thyroid and Parathyroid Center for 3 years. He is an instructor of thyroid and parathyroid ultrasound for the American College of Surgeons and a member of both the American Thyroid Association and the Endocrine Surgery Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. In addition to authoring over 40 scientific papers and book chapters, Dr. Duke has published two books on endocrine surgery and has been named to Best Doctors in America."
