Dr. William Conway's clinical interests are complex upper GI oncologic surgery, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer including adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine tumors, biliary tract cancers including cholangiocarcinoma and gallbladder cancer; metastatic disease to the liver, ablation therapy of metastatic liver disease including microwave ablation, carcinoid tumors, abdominal sarcoma including GI stromal tumors (GIST), complex upper GI surgery for beingn disease and minimally invasive approaches to gastric, pancreatic, and liver surgery. Dr. Conway also specializes in treating patients with peritoneal surface malignancies including peritoneal malignant mesothelioma. Dr. Conway earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and completed his internship and residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. He also completed some international studies in Ghana during that time. Dr. Conway then completed his surgical oncology fellowship at John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. He is board certified in general surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
