Dr. Bose's Reviews

Likelihood of recommending Dr. Bose to family and friends
based on 54 total reviews (15 with comments)
Dr. Bose Says:

I am very fortunate that most of my reviews are good, and over 99.5% of the patients I see like me and my office staff.  They are grateful and are happy with what I can do for them.

However, doctors are easy targets to complain about.  It is easy for anyone to anonymously write a bad review about a doctor, they don't even have to put their name.  Some of these patients...

Don't do any major surgery by him, you would regret later on.I would not recommend anyone. Office staffs are horrible also.Never answers phone.Dr. Bose won't do surgery in Providence Hospital.I was in better shape before my total hip surgery. Now always in pain and no flexibility even after three months.
Mobile, AL |
I found Dr. Bose when a friend of mine shared his Advanced Orthopaedics, LLC Facebook page. My daughter had broken her arm after what we called an unsolicited piggy back ride from her brother. Dr. Bose calmed her fears and took very good care of her. We never had to wait when we went to his office.

I have been seeing Dr Bose for several years now, as well as taking my children to him. He is a very highly recommended with a great bedside manner. Scheduling an appointment is very easy and they get you in really quickly.
Mobile, AL |
Honest, direct and speaks so that I could understand. And no long waits in the waiting room!

He is a good surgeon I am having major problems with the last two I have had but I'm sure he will figure it out.
in Mobile, AL |
If you are considering hip replacement surgery, I recommend Dr. Bose. His only care and concern during the entire process was for my comfort and recovery. The hospital stay is only two days and you will receive the utmost in pain management. He even makes sure the hospital provides the best care for his patients. There is only one choice for me - Dr. William J. Bose.

Not a good experience at all. Horrible bedside manner. This must have been a bad day for him. He was very condescending and didn't seem to listen to me. He told me I was a "wimp". This was very inappropriate and unprofessional.
in Mobile, AL |
I originally saw him in January 2016 for acute tendinitis in thumb but while filling out new patient paperwork he asked what the problem was with right knee (I had a partial replacement in 2012). They took exrays and discovered that the appliance had slipped out of place. I have a total knee replacement in June and am very pleased except now I have developed bursitis in that knee. I will be seeing him this Friday for surgery in my right thumb and highly recommend him for any orthopedic issues.
in Irvington, AL |
I love Dr. Bose for a Doctor I have had a few surgeries about 6 are seven. My last surgery was in May of this year 2016 . The only difference in this surgery and the others is I haven't seen Dr. Bose since May I have only seen Mike and I complained with severe pain and seen on to where these parts have that problem. On Nov. 23,2016 I went to see about meds and the nurse sent receptionist to lobby and talk my medical information in front of other people waiting on a patient . This has been twice.
in Mobile, AL |
Well I am torn about this. I had a pretty surgery , but had basically no contact with the Doctor at all. He seemed not to want to have any conversation with me. He never told me anything. The only information I received was from nurses. His bedside manner is nil. So I'm not sure what the issue is, but I am compelled to write.

great treatment by dr Bose
in Grand Bay, AL |
I am very pleased to have Dr. Bose as my doctor. I met him about 2 1/2 years ago due to problems with my right hip after surgery that was performed by another doctor. Dr Bose did a total hip replacement and my surgery went perfectly without any complications. My recovery time was minimal. Then on Dec 1,2015, I had to have a total knee replacement due to RA., and I choose Dr Bose to perform the surgery. As expected, everything went perfectly! Love this doctor and his team. I will use them again.
in Mobile, AL |
I was transferred to Dr. Bose when my usual Dr. became ill and closed his practice. I needed another surgery. Dr. Bose's office made the transfer, paperwork and surgery with absolutely no problems or inconvenience on my part. All of his office staff who had contact with me were very friendly and respectful to me. I felt as though I had been their patient for years. My only complaint: difficult to speak to a person by phone and menu does not have an option for what I need which would be other.

Dr Bose is an awesome Doctor. I was seeing another doctor but my knee kept getting worse. Got approval to change Doctors. Was blessed enough to get Dr Bose. He did a partial knee replacement and changed my life. I told him today the knee he worked on is like gold to me. Thank you Dr Bose for giving my life back.He and his staff treat you like a member of the family. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
