Retired RN
As a newly retired critical care RN & new to the area, I was nervous about having to choose a surgeon unfamiliar to me. Dr Ballard was overwhelmingly recommended by many nurses in/around Chattanooga & I now know why! He was thorough, compassionate & SKILLED & I couldn't be happier with my new total hip replacement!

Great demeanor and professional staff
Anyone who can "tame" my mother who fears all doctors gets my vote. Dr. Ballard did a great job with repairing her broken femur. The nurses and aides were patient with the impatient patient. Big bonus- He likes giraffes and the Chattanooga Zoo :)

Dr. Ballard did my right knee replacement 7 years ago. No problems whatsoever. When I started having problems with my left knee, there was no other choice. Still the same caring, informative doctor.

You NEED to Read This Review
Dr. Timothy Ballard is the only orthopedist I’ll see for my hip/knee issues. He’s meticulous in his evaluation; all options are presented w/no pressure to choose one over the other. He’s willing to take whatever time is necessary to make certain all questions are answered. One of my earliest encounters with Dr. Ballard was almost a decade ago, the morning of my total hip replacement. Prior to being anesthetized, he came in to answer any questions & calm any last minute concerns. I appreciated that, but more importantly, he asked if he could pray for me. Yes, of course. Not only did he pray for me, but for his skill as a surgeon, for the best possible outcome, & for God to be glorified through this. That put me completely at ease, feeling the sincerity & earnestness of the prayer, knowing I was in the most capable hands. 9.5 years later, when I talk about Dr. Ballard, when I recommend him to others, I always recount my personal experience. His skill & expertise are second to none.

First Visit
I was referred to Dr. Ballard by my brother-in-law who is very pleased with the surgeries he’s had from Dr. Ballard. Was impressed with his professionalism but also with his friendliness and the time he took to sit and chat with me and explain everything that was going on and would be going on with a knee replacement.

This was one of the nicest doctor visit I have had in a long time. Dr. Ballard took the time to listen and to show concern about me as a person not just another patient. This is very important to me since I am on my own insurance plan. Totally examined and explained what he was going to present and for future. He did not rush during my time with him. Focus on me instead of paper work/computer. Thank you Dr Ballard
