This content was provided by Dr. Accousti "Dr. Accousti completed his undergraduate training with honors at the University of Connecticut. There he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. He subsequently obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Physiology, graduating magna cum laude at Georgetown University Graduate School. Dr. Accousti stayed in Washington, DC to complete his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. From there Dr. Accousti relocated to New Jersey where he completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- NJ Medical School (Now Rutgers NJ Medical School). His interest in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis surgery brought him to New Orleans for additional subspecialty training at Childrens Hospital-New Orleans. Following the fellowship year Dr. Accousti joined the LSUHSC faculty as Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2002 and is now ranked as Associate Professor. He maintains an interest in all aspects of pediatric orthopaedic care with a special interest in trauma, and foot and spinal deformities."

We love Dr Accousti. I have a very medically complex child, and Dr Accousti is always so helpful. He actually listens to me and helps me make the best choices possible to extend the care and comfort of my boy.

Amazing! From the diagnosis to our daughter scoliosis to the end of the surgery to the follow-up care amazing doctor amazing bedside manner he really cares. We are moving to a new city but still will come back to Dr. Accousti.

we LOVE him!!! Have been seeing him for about 5 years now. sometimes the wait is a pain he does get behind but when it was my child with the emergency he saw him and other had to wait that day so I can't complain when I have to wait. He is worth it. And my son loves going to see him
