About Me

Care Philosophy

The whole office experience is important for our cancer patients. People come into our office often scared, and it is the caring, nurturing staff (from front desk staff to chemotherapy infusion nurses) that makes such a difference. I am fortunate to be working at such a place as Virginia Cancer Institute.

This doctor does not listen to his patients. When I told him about the side effects and axe that my medication be changed I was basically ignored. After the second treatment the palms of my hands were darker the outside of my hands my eyes were red my tongue was black the bottom of my feet were black. By the third treatment I could barely put my feet on the floor I could not ring out a red because my skin was so tender I had lost just about all of my hair.

On my mom's first visit, he took a call from his wife during my mom's exam. It was not an emergency. My mom had lung cancer. After several chemo treatments, he came into the exam room with chart in hand. He said to my mom, " I have very good news for you." Then he read her chart and said "I made a mistake. I have very bad news for you."

Tried to get test results for 5 weeks, staff not caring. Everybody is always joking and laughing when you ask a question. They will not find out things and Dr is not experienced enough to help my difficult recurring problem.
