I have worked as a nurse in hospitals for 25 years. I have known many doctors and I am very familiar with the behind the scenes activities in the health care setting. I am very happy to say that Dr Kuo is my doctor. He is exceptional. Last week I was diagnosed with Covid and he could not have been any better, He was accessible, responsive and helpful. He kept in almost constant contact and i felt that he was always readily accessible if I needed something. He even arranged for me to get the antibody infusion. I am so grateful to have him as my primary care physician. This is nothing new. He is always reachable and responsive. He inspired me to write this review because , I believe, that he is definitely in the top 1 % of physicians in this area.

Terrible office and practice. It just opened in Eldersburg and the staff did not appear to know what they were doing. They were confused with the insurance and argued with me about payment up front. ( we are not in an HMO or require precept or anything else.)was charged for visit and paid.received a call from Mrs. Kuo screaming that I owed them money. ( I had a receipt). Was seen by PA Casey who I am sure is very good but they charged my insurance an initial physician’s fee of $350.(same cost to see physician). Needless to say I was not impressed and did not return. They need to organize themselves better, get their infrastructure in place before seeing patients. By the way no physician’s assistant is worth that amount of money no matter how good they think they are.

I followed Dr Kuo from a practice in Westminster after he started his own practice. I have always been really happy with Dr. Kuo and Casey, his PA. Recently the practice began asking for a point of service charge of $130 (pay up front and we will reimburse you once insurance pays). The office staff has unfortunately sometimes been adamant and impolite about collecting the money, even though I have good insurance and I never pay this much even when I see a specialist. If you have an emergency or you have a health issue, the last thing you want to do is haggle about money just to make an appt. I pay my medical bills - after insurance reimbursement-on time and in full and it’s unfortunate to be treated as if you won’t. Hopefully this requirement will be lifted at some point

I recently went here for my annual checkup. I signed up for the "preventative" visit because that was what my insurance covered. It was a joke! They weighed me, took my blood pressure and she asked me a few very basic questions. End of story. I wasn't allowed to ask any questions and could not get any prescriptions refilled. They also will not refill any prescriptions over the phone or through the patient portal. You must make a separate office visit so they can charge you again. I am very unhappy with these policies and I will be finding another practice.

Not good. I was seen several years ago when he was still in association with other internists in Westminster and never saw him for an emergency, just a nurse practioner who had very little experience(or so it seemed) and proceeded to tell me what kind of pain I should feel with several broken ribs after being bucked off my horse. I had more interaction at the emergency room. Next, I called to his new solo practice this week for a presurgery physical and was told that since he split his practice off I am considered a new patient and could not be seen till September. Really? I was a health care provider for 40 years and if I thought this was an acceptable way to conduct a practice I would have had a hard time living with myself. On the other hand, perhaps this is what 'health care' has devolved to.

Dr. Kuo is outstanding. He takes the time to listen to the patient and answer any questions that you may have, give suggestions and different options of care or treatment. He is an all around old school personable Doctor with new school technology at his hands. I recommend him to all of my friends and co-workers.

Dr.Kuo, takes the time to listen and address each medical issue.. Personal attention and security knowing my health is his main concern. Appointments are addressed on time. NOT the typical large practice, donut factory medicine, get them in and out ASAP, but individual attention to each patient. I feel extremely happy and fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Kuo.

Dr. Kuo has a nice bedside manner, but he tends to leap to extreme potential diagnoses. Also, his office staff has repeatedly made appointments for me when I haven't requested one.
