Great Dr and staff.
Very positive experience . He spent a lot of time with me.Had great bedside manner. Very informative and recommended a very conservative approach to treat my condition. Staff was helpful and very courteous. Have to say I was reluctant to go after reading some of these reviews ; but had an urgent need so I went. My apprehension was not well founded . He even told me a very appropriate joke before examining me to help set me at ease. My wife is a FNP and son is a surgeon . They were impressed when I debriefed them .

Top colorectal surgeon in Atl
Dr Ambrose did a laparoscopic colon resection because of cancer. I asked around quite a bit to find the best surgeon and multiple people told me about him. I feared I was going to have to have a bag but he reconnected my colon successfully so I am bag free. Is he a little gruff? Probably. But he is the best colorectal surgeon in Georgia. He saved my life.

Hemorrhoids ? Look elsewhere
I was referred to this man for a prolapsed hemorrhoid. Along with a surgeon who once reset a broken collarbone, he probably has the worst bedside manner I’ve ever encountered in a physician. His rough extraordinarily rough treatment was, of course, accompanied by a condescending lecture.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Ambroze took over my care from another surgeon. If you want sweet and cuddly he is not the doctor for you, but if you want a surgeon who will be honest and tell you exactly what you need to know then this is the doctor for you. I highly recommend him.

It was the worse experience ever with a doctor. Did not explain procedure (minor) but extremely painful before doing it. Has no sympathy at all. He barely spoke. Terrible bed side manners. Nurses, and staff were great!

I wish I could give him zero stars. And I refuse to call this man "Doctor." On the outside he left my 16 year-old daughter with the ugliest scar because the navel to pubic bone incision he made to remove her colon came open. He refused to close it or do anything at all about it, other than come over at the end of his office day, without saying a word to either of us: flip back the sheet, flipped up her gown said, "Yep." and left. I had to chase him and run to keep up with him and ask what was he going to do. "nothing, I'm not a plastic surgeon." Then to find out from REAL doctors when my daughter moved west a few years ago as they saw the inside work, my daughter was asked: WHO did this surgery?" The GI surgeons (different ones from different states) have all said the same: it was not done well/right and have set her up with ongoing issues. DO NOT TRUST YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS MAN!

Had diverticulitis, 3 bouts in first 7 months of 2007. Very painful, requiring trip to ER and IV analgesics, then strong antibiotic regimen for 10 days. Was referred to Dr. Ambroze who performed hemicolectomy. Excellent recovery and now much happier without the recurring attacks of abdominal pain, and uncomfortable results of the antibiotic regimen after an attack. He did a great job and I did not require anastomosis.

Dr. Ambroze and his staff were very professional. Dr. Ambroze and his staff made sure we were well informed about the risk associated with the partial colectomy surgery. The surgery went well and we're very pleased with Dr. Ambroze and his staff.

Dr. Ambroze performed emergency surgery on my colon in 2016 and did an excellent job. He performed my colonoscopy in Nov 2018 and also did an excellent job. The team that assisted with this procedure were very professional. I found the entire experience to be fast, friendly and as thorough as it could possibly be. Very high marks for the DR and his team.

The question you need to ask yourself is, "What is the level of care if I experience complications?" From the day after my surgery and for close to 2 years after I experienced an unusual amount of pain. He took little time to listen to my concern, was quick to dismiss it, said there wasn't anything he could do and referred me to a pain service. I found Dr. Ambroze to be arrogant, condescending and self absorbed. It has taken ME 2 years to diagnose something he should have seen and considered.

There are not enough stars to truly rate Dr. Ambroze!! I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who would seek the very best physician possible. Dr. Ambroze cared for my daughter and without his expertise and care......well....I dare not say what her condition would be. We are beyond satisfied with the level of care and the skill Dr. Ambroze possesses.

Such a jerk! I was nervous to have him "check things out." (I'm a female in my young 20's.) He just stood there blank faced and told me he has to or I need to leave! He undercut my dire pain and agony by saying on a scale of 1-2 mine was a "mild 2." No sympathy at all. Needless to say I ran out of there. The nurses were a different story and deserve 5 stars.

No I will not recommend it. I have never seen an office staffs so disorganised, no email , only one number to reach everyone. Except for appointment, it is impossible to reach anyone, need to leave voice mail. They don't let you know if you are missing or if you need a paper, even the result of the biopsy I needed to ask after a month You would think that with all the bad reviews they get, they will try to change things, to be more available to patients who are also the one who pay their salary

Worst Dr I have ever met.He actually stood at my bedside with arms folded and kept smirking and laughing. He told me my colon was about to burst, but needed to understand the surgery I had when I was 15 years old..35 years ago.He must have said I just don't understand 10 times and laughed.I kicked him out of my hospital room.Any nurse I spoke to in the hospital agreed that he has the worst ,oddest bedside manner.Dr Gi N Yu is an amazing surgeon with a wonderful bedside manor. She saved my life.

Dr. Ambroze had no time to talk to the patient or to the family after surgery. He was always in a hurry. We literally needed to block the door to get any questions answered. He came into the room post surgery without saying hello, started poking and prodding without any prior conversation, then left after 2 minutes. He may be a good surgeon but his bedside manner is atrocious!
