In 2007 he was the primary author of a book chapter regarding contemporary treatment of severe infections of the jaws. After being recruited by Valley Health, he founded Winchester Oral Surgery Center in an attempt to make available essential services to this community. In 2010, with the help of Winchester Medical Center, he established a charitable foundation to provide treatment of children afflicted with various dentofacial deformities. In 2011 he established a residency rotation at Winchester Medical Center, where chief residents from Howard University are trained in the latest oral surgical techniques. As the current Director of Facial Trauma for Winchester Medical Center, he provides and coordinates emergency room care for the most severe facial injuries. Dr Coviello and his staff went out of their way to answer all of our questions in a warm and welcome environment. He even distracted my nervous son who was about to have his wisdom teeth removed by debating and reviewing the new Star Wars movie. I'm still laughing! Dr Coviello rules!!
