Dr. Hume graduated from the University of California, Davis with a bachelor's degree in psychology and organic chemistry. He received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. Following medical school, Dr. Hume completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. From 2004 to 2005, Dr. Hume served as a chief resident. His research includes pelvic ring dysfunction, viscerosomatic dysfunction in manual medicine and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Dr. Hume is an active member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
