I had my first Colonoscopy at 50 and Dr. Sears removed some advanced stage polyps. That means I go back every 5 years. I went today and thankfully I was polyp free but will need to continue on the 5 year prevention path. Better safe than sorry. I had to ask for Suprep as my bowel prep and I highly recommend it. It is so much easier than Miralax & Mag (horrible first experience) and my insurance covered 100%. Dr. Sears and every staff member, including reception are very efficient and will put you at ease. Each person introduced themselves and explained their role. The anesthesia was a breeze this time. She explained it would be given in short bursts every 10 minutes to coincide with the procedure. It includes anti nausea meds and my wake up was much faster and I was coherent, not loopy and not nauseous at all. The entire team worked well together. Dr. Sears played AC/DC and I loved it. My husband and I both see Dr. Sears in Kernersville and we wouldn’t have it any other way. ThankU

As a new patient it's always kind of stressful to feel comfortable with that new Dr and especially that first visit. I totally felt the opposite with Dr Sears. He's very imformative and attentive. His staff was personable and caring. There's enough anxiety about getting a colonoscopy to begin with but I was relaxed and releive with Dr Sears and his staff.

There are many good things about Dr. Sears. However, the one very bad thing is that I feel like he really did not listen to me regarding my concerns about the side effects of omeprazole. He downplayed the seriousness of the serious side effects listed by the pharmacist, refused to consider an alternative medication or any holistic approaches to treatment, then he prescribed yet another dangerous medication for me to take knowing my concerns about these medications. I will not be going back.

Dr.Sears took me on as a patient a few years ago. What led me to Dr Sears was a another doctor at another practice was unable to correctly diagnose C-diff which I had for over a year. Dr Sears turned my life around. He immediately ordered the right tests and the proper medication that finally offered me quality of life. Dr Sears is one of the most qualified doctors that I have ever had, and I know that my health is at its best with Dr. Sears!

Dr Sears is absolutely wonderful, saw him for an acute cindition, had to call him twice after that for related problems and he was very professional and accessible and a great listener. Went back for an endoscopy and again he was excellent. His support clinical staff was also excellent. The front desk receptionist at the Winston Salem office in the Frontis Plaza however was rude, dismissive and arrogant and didn't know how to do her job. It too me 30m to do her job so I could be seen.
