Caring Professional
Dr Isaac and his NP were very thorough in their explanation of my problems, treatment options, and even began addressing the problems in this initial visit by giving me injections for my arthritic hip. I'm grateful to have found a pain clinic that is NOT focused on opiate prescriptions as the preferred method of dealing with pain.

My experience at Issac Spine, Joint and Pain Manag
I have found my visits to Issac Spine and Joint quite satisfactory. First visit I saw Dr. Isaac. Thereafter I was seen by Nurses Monica and Kristi. I’ve found these two to be knowledgeable and efficient. Kristi is a PA (physicians assistant) and can prescribe meds. She always talks to me and counsels me. She is the one who transmits the script to pharmacy. Kristi has read extensive notes (with my permission) about me in My Health at Vanderbilt. Therefore she knows a lot about this patient. I appreciate her wanting to know me and my health issues. I cannot speak to some of the above complaints. My grade “A” for dr./staff.

My dad went to this clinic for 2 weeks after experiencing devastating back pain that radiates down to his left leg. This clinic is highly unprofessional. You’ll be seen by the doctor for the initial eval for 5 minutes where he’d write you low dosage medicine and send you on your way with no respect to your pain or the psychosocial stresses of missing work and the need to support your family. You would be seen by his assistant nurse practitioner for all your follow ups, even if you request to be seen by the doctor. My dad requested paper work to be filled by the doctor for his work, they charged him 75$ (25$ per sheet of paper they fill). Delivering services with compassion to your patients and empathizing with their pain is often farther more important than writing them off with medication and booking their next appointment. Don’t seek the help of this clinic, the doctor is arrogant with poor knowledge of pain science.

I have been with this pain clinic for 5 or more years. I have had nerve blocks from Vanderbilt's anesthesiologists plus many more. Dr. Isaac is the absolute BEST. This is the pain clinic to go to. I was shot twice in RVN and I've three lumbar spine surgeries. Dr. Isaac knows pain as does all his staff.

I was given a shot that did nothing and I later found out that I shouldn’t have been given it due to a med I take. My pcp thought I should find a new doctor.

Out of all the different spine and joint drs I have been to, I have RA and several spine issues, I have never had to have nerve blocks or ablation done with no medication till I went here. But if your in pain and need it and your in a new city, you go through it. Then they call to tell me I failed a drug test. I know that wasn’t correct. I spend the next 3 or 4 weeks talking to I think every nurse office person in there, trying to figure out how to correct this. Knowing this is going in my medical file for any Dr to see, I’m extremely concerned. Now note I have no pain meds and my husbands job changed, so I’m going through a period of no insurance. Every person I talked to in that office just kept saying I would have to go on suboxen. I look this drug up, used for recovery from opioids. Hmm they said I had meth in my system, and I was taking codeine prescribed by him, so why this drug? I Took hair strand test that was beg for any drugs. His office refuses to call me back.

This is the best pain doctor I have had in years. The staff is awesome in many ways. I feel loved and cared here. I am never waiting a long time to be seen. I am just in love with the care I receive. When I am afraid they all make it a priority to make sure I am calm and not worried. They make sure that I am unafraid, right then and there.

Dr. Isaac is a caring and compassionate doctor. He helped me so much with my back pain before I went on a missions trip overseas. He really went out of his way to work me in so I could get help before I left. I would highly recommend him to anyone with any type of pain issues, especially spine pain.
