This content was provided by Dr. Castilla Yataco " Dr. Victor Castilla was born in Chincha, a small rural town south coastal Peru. Since childhood, widely surpassing the limitations of the country's education system, he was highlighted as an applied and competitive student. At the age of 18, he was admitted to the National University of San Marcos, first public university in America, founded in the second half of the sixteenth century, in the city of Lima. There, he studied medicine and graduated as a doctor-surgeon during the summer of 2004. After the completion of his college career, he started his social service, bringing their medical knowledge into practice in a small town north of Peru, La Brea-Negritos, Talara. There, he developed his first experiences in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Once professional protocol requirements required of Peruvian doctors were completed, Dr. Castilla decided to move to the United States, seeking to hone his academic skills. He successfully completed the UCLA International Medical Graduates program in 2009. In 2010, he was admitted to the residency program of Family Medicine at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, a UCLA-affiliated program also. "
