Did surgery on my husband 3 times within 18 months. First surgery through front of neck. Was told would solve the problem. Did not! Was told he could go through back and solve his problem of pinched nerve. Had surgery and within a month the screws backed out of cage and one was pressing on a nerve. My husband was in excruciating pain and was placed back in hospital for a week awaiting return of Dr V Vemuri from Switzerland. Came back and had to go back in and redo surgery to try and correct issue. Was in hospital for almost a month. To this day my husband suffers. He has a scar in the neck area that is sunk it and you can put your fist in. He saw my husband only once after this 3rd surgery and did no x-rays or anything and he released him. My husband is a Veteran. Would not recommend this orthopedic doctor.

Dr. Vemuri performed a 3-level Cervical ACDF in February 2020 to help ease the pain of my severe Degenerative Disc Disease and Stenosis. This was a difficult surgery to recover from (pain wise) but Dr. Vemuri and his office stayed in contact with me throughout my recovery and helped with advice and questions. Dr. Vemuri did an excellent and I am almost completely pain free in my neck area. I also still have great range of motion. My neurologist was even highly impressed with my range of motion following an ACDF. Dr. Vemuri also has excellent bedside manner and listens to his patients. I recommend him to anyone looking for an Orthopedic doctor. He’s the best I’ve found and I went to several before I was lucky enough to be recommended to his practice.

During Covid they were organized but wonder if they disinfect tables between patients? Treatment was adequate but wish I didn’t have to ask questions about every single thing rather than being readily explained by the doctor

I went in to see Dr Vemuri at the beginning of 2019 about a problem with my back. I did not think that anything could be done for my pain due to my age and other health issues, but he came highly recommended so I thought that I would see what he thought about my situation. He convinced me that he could operate on me and alleviate my pain and that with the surgery I would be able to walk again with out problems and that within a few days I would be driving, and doing anything a regular person could do without issues. My surgery was on March 6th. 2019, it is now January 22, 2020 and I am unable to walk without assistance, I have permanent nerve damage in my right leg, I cannot drive, or do anything like a normal person. I am in worse shape than I was before the surgery. The surgery itself was horrible and very invasive, and I almost died in the hospital. In spite of multiple, extended rehabilitation efforts, I am still in very bad shape and wished now that I had not trusted him.

I would recommend Dr Vemuri to anyone needing back surgery. He was very attentive and caring in the office prior to surgery. We tried alternative measures to avoid surgery with no luck. In Dec 2018 he removed a spur that was digging into a nerve, and did a discectomy with fusion with graft, and now my back feels amazing. He truly is a magnificent spine specialist.

We brought my 94 year old mother-in-law to see Dr. Vemuri this past Thursday, as a follow-up visit from her 5 day hospital stay on 9/27/2019 for a spinal fracture. After sitting for over 30 minutes, I asked the ladies at the front desk if Dr. Vemuri could see her quickly, as she was in excruciating pain and on a portable O2 tank. 2 hours and 15 minutes later, we saw Dr. Vemuri. My mother-in-law was in agony. He spent 8 minutes with us and wanted to know why we were there. He never introduced himself, he did not address my mother-in-law by her first or last name, and he got quite defensive because I was upset. She asked him if he could help her with her pain. He just looked at her. We asked about an epidural shot or a pain patch and he refused to give her either. He finally gave us a prescription for a 10 day supply of pain medication, even though her spinal compression is 90%. He was very rude and condescending. We do not recommend him at all.

This was my first visit. Office staff very friendly. X ray tech kind . Dr Vemuri was very thorough. He took his time, explained what he saw on x Ray's so my husband and I could understand what going on with neck and hip. I was very impressed with Dr Vemuri and will recommend him to family or friend if the occasion arises. Dr Vemuri referred me to another doctor in the practice for further evaluation on hip. The appointment was made for the next week. Timely follow up. I did have a little bit of a wait but I feel the care I received made up for the wait. I suggest taking a book and just relax and wait your turn. Thank you Dr Vemuri and staff.

Dr. Vemuri has helped me with 2 surgeries now, as well as several follow-up visits. He's always friendly, makes eye contact, so I feel like he's truly listening, takes the time to hear what I have to say, and actually responds to my questions. The office has been remodeled recently, and it has a feeling of being open, friendly, bright. They can get rather busy at times, so there are times when you can feel a bit rushed, but that can be said for most doctors' visits. I can say that I trust Dr Vemuri, and would go back to him again if the need were to arise.
