This content was provided by Dr. Bozoghlanian "MD Medical College of Wisconsin Dr. Bozoghlanian is a native of Southern California. He completed his undergraduate education at UCLA, earning his B.S. degree in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology, achieving Summa Cum Laude honors, and graduating from the UCLA College Honors Program. After graduating UCLA, he conducted bacteriology research in the UCLA Biochemistry department, and served as a patient liaison volunteer and Armenian interpreter at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Bozoghlanian completed his medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was awarded several scholarships and earned his MD degree in 2009. He served as a biochemistry tutor for first-year medical students and was recognized for his dedication and teaching skills with the "Medical College of Wisconsin Tutor of the Year" award. After medical school, Dr. Bozoghlanian completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UC Irvine. For his stellar achievements, he was awarded three letters of commendation, and selected for the David. K. Litke Intern of the Year Award, Second Year Resident of the Year Award, Gene Coodley Memorial Teaching Award, and the Professionalism Award. After completing his residency, Dr. Bozoghlanian was selected to serve an additional year at UC Irvine as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor for the department of medicine, where he organized all of the education for internal medicine residents. During this time, he also served as a hospitalist faculty for patients hospitalized at UC Irvine Medical Center, and he served as a clinical faculty in UC Irvine Weight Management Program. After his Chief Residency, Dr. Bozoghlanian completed his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at UC Irvine. While there, he served as Chief Fellow, and was selected among five medical subspecialties to receive the Distinguished Fellow award in the multispecialty clinic. He conducted numerous research projects, presented at regional and national conferences, and published in several peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include asthma, hives, atopic dermatitis and common variable immunodeficiency (CVID). His research on CVID earned him the 2nd Place Award in the Research Category at the American College of Physicians Southern California Poster Competition. During his fellowship, Dr. Bozoghlanian received additional pediatric allergy and immunology training through rotations at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and Children's Hospital of Orange County. Furthermore, he completed a national workshop on patch testing for evaluation of allergic contact dermatitis. As a volunteer clinical assistant professor at UC Irvine Medical Center, Dr. Bozoghlanian continues to see medically complex patients and teach allergy/immunology fellows at the UC Irvine Allergy and Immunology clinics. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Orange County Society of Allergy and Immunology, and Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Bozoghlanian is married, fluent in Armenian, and enjoys basketball, computer technology, and woodworking"
