Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Rusch "I am a surgeon who specializes in treating patients with cancers of the lung, esophagus, mediastinum, and chest wall, and those with mesothelioma. My research efforts focus on the genetics of lung cancer and mesothelioma, in an effort to predict how a patient will respond to a particular treatment, and on the development of methods to detect thoracic cancers at an early stage. I have also been a leader in national clinical trials for the treatment of thoracic cancers."

Many of Dr. Rusch's reviews say she is cold. for God's sake people, she is a Surgeon! They are notorious for not having a bedside manner. She operated on my husband 3 years ago, EPP, and gave a us a new lease on life. She doesn't sugar coat anything. Unfortunately, my husband's mesothelioma is back...more

Very rude. She speaks with an arrogant tone and is not comforting at all. Instead of speaking with you she speaks at you as if she is all knowing and it is going to be her way. Makes you feel small and inadequate In her profession she should be more compassionate with people instead of a cold...more

Dr. Rusch has saved my life by surgically removing my cancer. She did so with such skill, compassion, and reassurance that my experience, from detection through recovery, was as positive as possible.

Dr. Rusch is robotic, exceptionally cold and short. I normally would never take time out to write something unpleasant about someone, but when it comes to the health of a loved one I only wish I could have read something honest about Dr. Rusch beforehand. Post-surgical appts were disappointing...more
