Dr. Oram completed her internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. She completed her endocrinology fellowship at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. During her fellowship, she was involved with research on diabetes, aging and resveratrol, an active ingredient of red wine, and later published a "Pilot Study of Resveratrol in Older Adults With Impaired Glucose Tolerance"."

I saw Dr. Oram on a regular basis over the course of a few years. She was always very considerate of my concerns and issues and would always explain how those issues fit into my auto-immune condition and explain ways to deal with it. She did have all sorts of things scribbled on her wall one time....more

She was incredibly condescending and dismissive about my concerns. Her patient room was messy and decorated with charts, handwritten in marker, that looked as though they'd been created for a grade school classroom - although superficial as these details may be, they did not inspire confidence. She put me on synthroid when I knew that I did not want it. I had a reaction to it and had to stop it. She did not consider the complexity of the issues at hand.
