Dr. Uysal is always very straightforward with the possible side effects of any medications and very diligent in ensuring that all my medications are not going to interact. I have had very positive results since seeing him and never feel rushed, he always takes as much time as needed to explain things thoroughly and answer all questions. He makes you feel as though he cares.

Utku Uysal, MD, is assistant professor of neurology. He also became director of the Epilepsy Surgery Program at the University of Kansas Medical School in 2012. Dr. Uysal is board-certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also board-certified in advanced central clinical neurophysiology with added competency in epilepsy monitoring by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. His clinical interest is in refractory epilepsy, medical and surgical management of refractory epilepsy and status epilepticus. His primary research interest is in natural history of non-convulsive status epilepticus, seizure biomarkers and antibiotic-induced seizures/status epilepticus.
