I went to this doctor who ordered an MRI for me. After getting the MRI and when the results of the MRI went sent to Zahir’s office, it was incredibly difficult to get any doctor to look at the results. They sat on the results without reviewing them for a long period of time. When I called them and asked them for the results, they gave me no assurance on when anybody could look at them. They basically said that the main doctor was out for several weeks, and a second doctor “might” be able to look at them but they couldn’t assure me. Meanwhile I had to sit with back pain while I awaited word. The whole process made me never want to go here again.

Dr.Zahir took care of my herniated disk at l5/s1 this February 2021. When I first met dr.Zahir I was unable to walk and nothing that I have tried helped my back and sciatica pain. He is very professional and attentive. Great bedside manner, explained everything very well. He also took his time to properly diagnose my condition. I am very satisfied. I held off writing my review until after I had endoscopic discectomy on my l5/s1 disc herniation. The surgery went well and I am on my way to recovery. Dr.Zahir is very talented surgeon and the surgery is a lot less invasive compared to microdiscectomy. I can now honestly say I was very lucky that I have met Dr.Zahir and that he was the surgeon who performed my spinal surgery. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and I wish that I done this surgery sooner.

I went to Dr.Zahir for a second opinion. So happy I made the visit. My first surgeon (after an MRI) was one video visit, then about six minutes of you need the surgery, talk to the scheduler. Not so with Dr. Zahir. I was involved in reviewing the MRIs, a good explanation of the surgery, and then a very helpful prompt response to some subsequent questions. A+ rating for quality doctor/patient communication. I am confident the surgery and post surgery experience will be A+ as well.

L3 L4 L5 cleanup procedure Jan 2020 at Spotsy Regional Med Center. Hospital staff were superb. Intake receptionist had the list of contracted medical specialists working on my body, ready for me to review and confirm that they were "in-network" (for my med insurance ). Then it was off to the same-day surgery suite. Anesthesiologist had me down and up right on time, zero memories. After surg, the surgical attending RN stayed with me until discharge. Surgeon debriefed me and wife. Gave us before and after printed pix of my sciatica area. All is well. I chose this hospital because the staff are paid based on patient critiques (like this one). I feel like I'm the only pt in the place, and i have the full attention of the staff. Dr U. Zahir is my surgeon who specialized in microscopy surgery. Tiny access holes means less tissue to repair and heal. When you need the best, enlist Dr. Usman Zahir.

Dr. Zahir was absolutely fantastic. I first went to see him due to a back injury (herniated disc at L5) and his knowledge of my condition was impressive. I will never forget the first words that he said to me "So, this isn't the first time you have experienced this, is it?". Just from my MRI he was able to see that I had a buildup of scar tissue and had several past injuries. After surgery I am now 3 months out and feeling fantastic! Thank you Dr. Zahir.

For 2 years I have been told that the herniated disc in my neck and back by my employers doctors was not the reason I was feeling pain after my motorcycle accident in 2016. It took 20 minutes of meeting with Dr. Zahir and a set of MRI’s to finally know that the herniated disc in my neck has been causing the problem the whole time. He listened to all my concerns and did a full exam and came up with my options to include surgery. I have exhausted every other option. Can’t wait to be pain free.

I was initially so impressed by Dr Zahir and his whole office staff, but I’m left wondering about the doctor’s lack of response. My appointment was on a Monday and he spent a considerable amount of time explaining my physical problem and how it could be addressed. The understanding was that he would get back to me within 24 hours regarding treatment; it is now Friday and I have not heard a word even after calling his office twice. Even for a busy doctor, this seems incredibly unprofessional.
