Very responsive; I was a new patient with an acute health issue and the first new patient appointment wasn't for two weeks. The office staff took the initiative to call me less than 24 hours later with a cancellation

Worth driving 45 miles – Jan 13, 2022

My PCP had to close and one of the PAs joined Dr. Sivakumar's practice. I contracted a painful UTI and called Dr. Sivakumar's office. The person who took my call was polite and knowledgeable. She explained that my former PA was not yet seeing patients. To see Dr. Sivakumar would require a new patient appointment, with the earliest available appointment not available for two weeks. I was pleasantly surprised the next morning to receive a call that they had a cancellation, and offered to see me. I agreed to hop in the car and travel 45 miles on short notice. Dr. Sivakumar conducted a full health/wellness examination. I found her to be highly intelligent, insightful, pleasant and pragmatic. The office staff were friendly to one another. She asked questions I've never been asked before, and made new wellness suggestions that are similarly unique and make sense. I had to complete all of the new patient paperwork before seeing the doctor, but she did not have access to the completed info.

First red flag, Dr Usha only wears face shield, NOT a mask! Clear indication of her arrogance and lack of genuine concern for patients. She made a bunch of minsdiagnosises. Very condescending if you question anything, dismissive of patient’s concerns of all the medications she overprescribed (per other doctors). She sounds “knowledgeable” but appears to guess at everything and won’t do due diligence to follow through on anything. Waste of time & money to see her. The filthy aquarium in lobby with poor constipated fish (long strings of poo stuck to their bottoms) is a tip off of her practice’s lack of competence & follow-through.

I have referred at least 5 patients to her with confidence. I dare to say she may be among the very best doctors in Maryland. She knows medicine. She treats every condition. She sees more than typical symptoms. For me I have rare multiple issues. She is careful to explain what is going on and what her recommendation in treatment should be. She questioned my conditions and drugs. I came out with a much better quality of life. She definitely knows medicine and if her goal was to be the best I know she is. I never hesitate to recommend her. Her staff reflects the very same professional state. ??

I think that most people who decided to go into medicine and become doctors did so because of an overwhelming desire to help others and with a strong sense of caring. Unfortunately many doctors seem to have lost some of that passion and medicine has become largely just a business for them. Dr. Sivakumar is not one of those kinds of doctors. Dr. Sivakumar is a highly competent and effective doctor who has tremendous empathy and a kind and caring manner towards her patients. When you add all of that to her keen diagnosis talents, she is a gem of a doctor.

If this is the same doctor that was in Tarentum and treated me at Allegheny Valley Hospital she saved my life. I had MRSA on my spine and it traveled into my blood. I had MRSA pneumonia and was on my death bed. That was 12 years ago… love to you the best doctor ever….. Linda

I can't say enough about Dr Sivakumar. Becoming her patient was a game changer for me as far as what I expect in terms of level of care. She has far exceeded any medical service I have EVER received. I was referred to her by the glowing recommendation of another patient and quickly understood what they were raving about. Her bedside manner is outstanding, you don't feel like a number, she relates to you as a person and she remembers me, my issues and she keeps in touch with any medical care, (physical/mental) I receive from specialists, etc. Like I said, I cannot say enough.

Dr. Sivakumar took her time to ask lots of questions and provide different options to the health issues I am facing. She seems to really care and didn't do the usual "lose weight and here's some pain pills, see you in 6 months" routine that I've sadly gotten use to from most doctors. I would certainly recommend her.
