Dr. Collins earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his internship at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C., followed by his residency and a fellowship in cardiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, also in Washington, D.C. Dr. Collins is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1989.
