I would definitely recommend Dr Koski. Not many can deal with the complex issues of the spine and. Had confidence going into surgery. That confidence has only increased.

Had I not found Dr. Koski and Angela Tosaw... there is no doubt in my mind that I would not have had my surgery. After meeting with this dynamic team for the first time, I knew having this T10 Spinal Fusion was what I needed to do. I was not afraid.

Excellent care beginning to end. His pre-surgery analysis and advice was honest and straightforward. He expressed concern that regardless of outcome my condition my not warrant surgery, ACDF of C3 thru C6, given the nerve damage from polio. He did not agree to perform it until I got an even more detailed neurological exam. He listened intently about my medication issues, setting up a specific plan to address. His nurse-practioner, Angie, was an incredible resource as well.

Dr Koski literally saved my life. He took what we’re supposed to be two surgeries and combined them into one performing a 9-hour operation unlike any other he’d done before. He informed me that he had never seen damage to a vertebrae to the extent of one of mine. Using metal fixtures and cadaver bones, he successfully anchored my spine and made it so I could funtion as a healthy paraplegic. I truly owe my life to this doctor and appreciate his hardwork and bedside manner.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tyler Koski for five years and through two surgeries on my spine. He is professional, knowledgible, thorough, and friendly. He has the ability to diagnose an issue and explain what options are available to correct the problem. I have recommended him to more than one person without hesitation.

In my opinion , his ego and concern about what happens after surgery is disconcerting . I would not recommend him . Perhaps surgeons need to take some psych classes and learn how to interact with patients . He , along with other surgeons might want to learn how to say “ I’m sorry” when something occurs that shouldn’t . I can’t even click one star

Dr. Koski performed a C6-7 ACDF in the morning, I was home that night. Within two weeks I was back at work; after six weeks I was exercising again. Less than one year later I consider myself 99-percent. He and his staff are excellent! I would recommend him to anyone in need of a spinal surgery recommendation. The NWM facility (downtown) can be difficult to get to, but it is worth it... well run and well staffed.

I was careful in my choice of doctors to perform my surgery. Besides the usual research, I noticed that at every level of the professional employees I encountered in various departments at Northwestern, all had a high opinion of him. As do I. I'm fortunate to have had him as my surgeon.

Dr koski teaches his techniques to doctors in countries world wide as far as Australia & Poland. He did several fusions on my back to correct another doctor's work & because of a fall. I had scoliosis & stenosis among other things. I had been in 2 pain clinics, & had constant pain. My surgeries were extensive but now, 6 years post surgery I am 95% pain free! I would not have the life I have today without his gifted hands & brilliant mind. It may take a while to get an appointment but worth it

He was extremely professional. He ordered diagnostic tests before my visit, so when I saw him, he could address my issue. I liked his conservative approach to my problem. I found his nurse Angie to be both professional and compassionate.
