Dr. Menge has done both of my extensive shoulder surgeries and I have been extremely happy with the results. When I compare my progress with others that had similar surgeries, I am ahead of their progress and have a great amount of mobility. I have been extremely happy with my results and Dr. Menge and his staff are professional and polite. I highly recommend Dr. Menge and his staff.

Dr. Menge performed surgery on my left shoulder. About 3 months after my surgery my left shoulder started hurting again. Dr. Menge ran all kinds of tests and said my shoulder was healed, nothing wrong with it. He sent me to PT which did not help it put me in more pain and they sent me back to see Dr. Menge, who did not even read the PT notes. I know because he said to me that I did not go to physical therapy. I said no, I did go, so I knew he never read their notes. Dr. Menge did not listen to me or the physical therapist that he sent me to. Dr. Menge said I do not know what is causing your pain, it must be in your neck. I went to another specialist who actually listened to me and put hands on moving my shoulder and she could feel there was something going on with it. I had surgery on my left shoulder again and there were TWO LARGE NODULES IN MY SHOULDER WHICH HAD GROWN OVER THE PERMANENT STITCHES THAT DR. MENGE HAD PUT IN AND LEFT THEM TOO LONG. THIS WAS WHAT WAS CAUSING MY PAIN!

As a physician I did a lot of research on who to see when I suffered a traumatic injury to my shoulder. After talking to many colleagues and getting their best recommendations, I went to see Dr Travis Menge. He did not disappoint! Friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and highly skilled best describe my experience with him. My physical therapist also agrees that my results have been far superior than even he would expect given the level of damage that had to be repaired within my shoulder.

Dr Menge is the 3rd doctor I saw after my knee injury. He fixed what other doctors couldn’t fix. I never thought my knee would get back to normal and it is now better than ever thanks to him. He is the only one I would ever trust taking care of me or my family for any knee injury!

1. Ableist 2. Ageist. 3. Condescending. 4. Ignorant. This arrogant practitioner told me I needed a left shoulder replacement but he isn't willing to do it because I'm "too young and healthy" (I'm 41 and am permanently in a wheelchair, with limited use of my left arm due to other medical issues). He tried to explain how a ball and socket joint works as being like the brakes on the car (there's ZERO similarities). He refused to acknowledge my actual physical condition in any way. He ignored everything i said, repeatedly talked over me, and walked out slamming the door when I and my advocate dared question him. He was completely unprofessional the entire visit. I wonder how much the positive reviewers were paid to compliment him.

Highly recommend Dr. Menge for those looking to return to sport from a severe knee injury...regardless of age. He was extremely empathetic and understanding to my specific situation, being clear on my choices, and the implications that came with them. Each visit was prompt, informative, genuine, and personal. I have great confidence that by following the plan, sticking to the PT, and being smart, there is a strong chance that at the age of 46, I will return to the game I love even better than before.

I can’t imagine a better experience than with Dr Menge and his team! I had shoulder surgery by another doctor that didn’t go well. I researched shoulder specialists and traveled from out of state to come see Dr Menge. My surgery and the entire process was fabulous! I could not believe how little pain I had compared to my last surgery. My shoulder is now back to 100% and I am so thankful!!!!

I saw Dr. Menge for a hip issue. While I was at first impressed by his professionalism and timeliness, my surgery proved fruitless. I did not feel the staff (or Menge himself) was attentive to the reality that my pain not only did not go away, but that it was increasing. In addition, I didn’t feel explained recovery well. Based on his initial explanations, I thought I’d be basically recovered after three weeks, but that was a pharse. While Menge clearly has a record of great results, I’m clearly one of the few negative cases.

Dr. Menge did my hip surgery and I could not be happier. Wish I had the surgery earlier as my pain is so much lower now after the surgery. The care has been excellent leading up to the surgery and after the surgery. I would highly recommend him for any issues you may have.

Dr. Menge is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon, very knowledgeable and clearly a sports medicine specialist. My son suffered hip injury and was in a lot of pain for two years. Dr. Menge fixed his hip and he had no more pain after that. Thank you for giving my son his life back and hope again as an athlete. You are truly amazing!
