Long overdue is my review...Dr. Sonoda is an exceptional surgeon, having granted me a new life after an grueling 8 hour plus pan-colectomy with permanent ileostomy surgery, testing all his skills and stamina as a surgeon. An extremely professional and caring Doctor with exceptional listening skills, all my follow-up appointments meeting every expectation. I am post-op six years and have a completely normalized life when it would have been otherwise, allowing me to remain helpful and productive for my family and community.

I had a colon resection that had to be done. Dr. Sonoda, at every step of the way, was a stellar doctor and literally saved my life. The suregery took over 5 hours and sounded quite complex to me. His bedside manner was also exceptional. If you need a colon resection, he is your go-to! Absolutely!

Saved my life in an emergency surgery situation. I spent a month in the hospital post op and he had the most amazing bedside manner with his daily visits. He helped make a horrible situation manageable. He gave me an opportunity to have a life with my family and now two sons.

Dr Sonoda is a gifted surgeon and wonder man . He is professional, patient and informative . The Nursing staff at NY Presbyterian love and respect him which is extremely important . His post opertive follow up care is so helpful and he makes himself available . I am a healthy 56 year old RN recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Rectal Cancer . I was recommended a few specific surgeons at different NY hospitals but Dr Sonoda was hands down my number 1 choice I highly recommended him and his staff

Did not give me the time of day! At all! Horrible bed side manner. Barely sat down to talk to me. Looked on the computer during most of the visit. Verbally made it known in front of me to his nurse that he's behind schedule.
