Awful! Never listened to a word that was said. He was judgmental and egotistical. He clearly had no clue about my son's condition even though he was a self proclaimed specialist in that area. He went so far as to claim my 15 year old was faking it. He then suggested that he go to the pain clinic to mask his symptoms and have him become addicted to pain killers instead of getting to the root of the problem. I expected way more out of Northwestern and their staff. Never again!

I was referred to Dr. Alden for my 4 year old sons brachial plexus injury. Dr Alden gave us the best experience we've ever had during our consultation. We never felt rushed, he waited patiently as we asked any question that came to mind. The appointment was only over when we were ready for it to be over. His care plan was well thought out and gave us much comfort that our son would be cared for in the best way possible. Thank you Dr. Alden, we look forward to the possibilities our son now has.

Great doctor who takes genuine interest in patient and explaining diagnosis. Very thorough, doesn't make you feel rushed, and takes time to answer your questions no matter how simple they may seem. Wish more doctors were like him!

      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
