Dr. Darmody is a board certified endocrinologist and Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. He is on staff at Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Darmody completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Cabrini in New York City.
He was invited to serve an extra year as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and was instrumental in establishing Cabrini's hospital-wide electronic medical records system. He later completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan. There, Dr. Darmody has done research into the effects of human growth hormone, and on thyroid hormone absorption. Dr. Darmody has a special interest in thyroid disorders.
Dr. Darmody has received specialized training in thyroid imaging and biopsy. Dr. Darmody stays up-to-date with clinical advancements through his membership in The Endocrine Society and The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist. Attracted by the city and it's climate, Dr. Darmody moved to Fort Lauderdale in the summer of 2005.
