Dr. Bertrand is an amazing doctor and I am appalled anyone else would think differently or give a bad review out of their own personal feelings. He makes things clear whether or not HE thinks treatment will work depending on the situation. He ultimately leave the decision making up to you and warns you of the outcomes.

My brother had sarcoma. After almost a year and the tumor swelling to the size of a small watermelon they finally decided to amputate. We were told it was too late for limb salvage. We were also told the surgery had clean margins. A month later we found out it spread to his lungs. Then he died. Communication was horrible between my brother, his oncologist and Dr Bertrand. I have all the medical records and it seems the two Doctors did not communicate. I have a ton of complaints between the two doctors. Dr Bertrand was very nice and comforting immediately after the surgery but my brother is still dead and I don't believe he got the care that he deserved in order to achieve a better outcome. If you need a general bone surgery- he's probably fine. If you have sarcoma- go somewhere outside of Indiana.

Dr Bertrand has changed my life for the bad. He botched my surgery and left me disfigured and in chronic pain. I thought I was getting the best. When I asked him if this had been done to anyone else he said yes two others. I'll never be the same or out of pain. No apologies were offered.

Best bedside manner. Very patient. Put a spacer w/antibiotics in my mother a while back and today did the hip replacement. She just adores him and so do I.

If you have sarcoma, travel to a sarcoma center. (OSU) Dr. Bertrand was very nice and had a good bedside manner, but they don't have a multi-disciplinary team for sarcoma and I was given some bad treatment advice that could have had a negative impact if I hadn't gotten another opinion.

Fishers, IN – Nov 30, 2017
Dr. Bertrand recently performed surgery on our teenage son. He was absolutely top knotch. He met with us prior to the surgery to explain the procedure, answer all of our questions and reassure our nervous child. The surgery was flawless. He met with us afterwards to review pictures from the procedure and explain how it went. He carefully detailed the recovery process and all post-op instructions. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Was referred by my shoulder doc for a mass. After waiting roughly 1 hour to get in the room, the cd would not work on their computer. Understandable. He said he would need 2-3 days to receive the new disc and look at both MRI's and would personally call me with the results. well here we are 16 days later and multiple calls to his office and the hospital and still no answer. Simply it is still pending by the front desk receptionist. from the other reviews online this is no surprise!

I'm unsure whether it's him, or his front office staff. I went in, got some MRIs, at his recommendation, but never received a follow-up appointment. After multiple messages, and no return call, I'm leaving this review. I've actually considered doing a Youtube video, showing that you can seemingly NEVER talk to anyone; invariably, you have to leave a message, but are seemingly never called back.
