I have been a patient of Dr. Reel's for almost 20 years. He has always been attentive, kind, and skilled. I received excellent treatment and I always found his staff to be courteous and kind.

Patti (Dr. Reel's assistant) made my experience so horrible! I was in a car accident in March and wanted to be seen for the pain that I was experiencing. From the start, she treated me like I was someone looking to score prescription pain medication. I don't even take pain medication! Many of my calls went unreturned and when I would go to the office to see her she had such a hostile tone about her. She made me feel like the worst person in the world for wanting to be seen.

Dr. Reel was my Dr. for almost 20yrs. I never required more than occasional blood work throughout my years with him. As I began having other issues it was if he didn't listen and just dismissed anything else I was experiencing. Somewhere around 2010 I began having odd spells when during a routine visit I mentioned them to him and he simply said I don't know what that is. 2yrs later I had a Gran Mal seizure. The spells were Absent seizures and I thank the NP at SMC for diagnosing them.

Sub par at best. I feel like he does not listen to his patients' concerns with an open mind. He does not understand complicated health issues as well as I think he should. If it isn't high blood pressure, I wouldn't trust him to treat it. I will say he has been willing to help me discontinue my antidepressant by weaning me down to lower doses and has been willing to write me referrals that I requested. His medical assistant is not the nicest lady I've ever met. Their bedside manner stunk.

Friendly and professional. Felt all my concerns were addressed.

I like Dr. Reel but his support staff is sorry. They do not answer the phone and if you leave a message they don't return your calls. When I'm sick I usually have to go to the immediate care or urgent care because my calls aren't returned. The only appointments I am able to get in for are my lab work appointments because they aren't made from his office. I am looking for a new family practice.
