This content was provided by Dr. Shah "Board Certified Rheumatology and Internal Medicine Assistant Clinical Professor at George Washington University Dr. Shah completed her undergraduate and medical school training at the highly competitive University of Missouri-Kansas City 6 year combined BLA/MD program in her hometown. Subsequently, she attended internal medicine residency at George Washington University Hospital. During her Rheumatology fellowship at GWU, she underwent intensive training in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions with ultrasound for musculoskeletal disorders. She has given numerous Grand Rounds presentations for rheumatologic disorders at area hospitals including Providence, Saint Agnes, Veterans Affairs, and GWU Hospital along with the Lupus Foundation of America. Furthermore, she has served as a clinical evaluator for a randomized trial on the effect of dietary interventions on rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and published for pain management in the elderly. Prior to NVA arthritis, Dr. Shah was active as an Assistant Clinical Professor for GWU, which she will continue here at NVA Arthritis. In the past, she has also worked in a private practice setting in Baltimore, Maryland, where she had various roles, including resident teaching and mentorship, as well as volunteering at a free clinic. She has varied clinical interests in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and especially spondylarthropathies (psoriatic arthritis, anklyosing spondylitis, and inflammatory bowel disease related arthritis). In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. "

She doesn't seem to be very experienced. Also, she (or her office staff) doesn't return patients phone calls regarding questions concerning the treatment or blood tests results. She is very kind and knowledgeable. She spent over an hour with me. She is the only doctor I've has that has fully listened to me and examined me. I'm very happy with her care.

She didn't know how to take an x-ray. Instead of asking me to move so the x-ray machine would capture the area needed; she just said...that will have to do. I witnessed unsterile techniques while she was preparing injections and seemed surprised when I refused to let her inject me. Blood work...Read More
