Dr. Van Fleet
I was told by the ER staff that I didn’t have any problem that showed up on the scans.
But when I saw you at OCI you did an MRI and discovered why my hands and feet were numb. This was making me unable to walk and take care of myself. You explained the problem and scheduled my surgery. This was all done in an hour.
Three weeks after surgery I am recovering and walking again with a walker.
You have always been great to help with your orthopedic surgery skills. We are grateful for that and your kind caring ways.
I highly recommend you and OCI.

I went to the Orthopedic center for 3 problems; I had trouble standing for any period of time, my rt. hip would give away at times and while walking I would sometimes veer off sideways. Dr. Vanfleet performed surgery on my lower back which was very successful. So far after 8 weeks I haven't had any reoccurrence of the above problems..
Following surgery, I used limited pain med's, did the recommended therapy and went by the "BLT" instructions (no bending, lifting more than 10#s, and no twisting). My greatest concern was to avoid the twisting getting in and turning over in bed but I had no problems.
In less than 2 months I am cautiously resuming my normal lifestyle.
Without question, I would recommend Dr. Vanfleet for back surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Van Fleet for severe pain in lower back. Dr. Van Fleet saw me on Tuesday, 7 July 2020. He questioned me as to how I was being affected by the back pain. He then reviewed with me the C-rays and MRI images of my back and he thoroughly explained the problems. He then explained the various methods of treatment including physical therapy (which I had already done), injections and surgery. Dr. Van Fleet thoroughly explained all the options and we decided that surgery was the best option. Dr. Van Fleet thoroughly explained the procedure and the period of recovery and therapy. Dr. Van Fleet performed a fusion on 11 August 2020. After my period of recovery and therapy, as of today (22 October 2020) I am experiencing no pain! I was extremely pleased with his professionalism, courtesy and concern.

Dr VanFleet has done 2 surgeries on my wife’s back with great results. He is VERY knowledgeable and explains everything in terms you understand. At times you have a little longer wait than you like, but as a doctor he is the best. I just went to see him for an issue I am having and am very happy with how I was treated.

A good surgeon. Everyone said the best. He is average. I have worked around much better. VanFleet is Distant and non-connected. I do trust he only offers surgery if it is absolutely necessary The system is a cattle call. He also requires all out of pocket money before surgery. Buyer beware. It took me over 6 months to get a credit refunded. Dr. V said he would intervene but it took an additional 4 months to get my 1600.00 refunded.
