I would never recommend seeing Tolan. His bedside manner is terrible and his skill is extremely questionable. His medical assistant Sonia was the rudest person in the medical field I have ever had to deal with. They were always too busy to speak with me about my care. Asked to have Tolan call me at his convenience and Sonia basically said he would never have the time. She gave me major false information about my care. Lucky for me, she was so incredibly rude that I did not take her seriously.

He has repeatedly missed the diagnosis on my ear that an experienced ENT in New York diagnosed. I get that it's a rare disease, but even upon suggesting it to him, Dr. Tolan was completely dismissive and blamed it on minor issues. That delayed me getting treatment and risked more hearing loss. He may be fine for a minor issue, but for anything big I would not recommend him at all.
Las Vegas, NV |
Dr. Tolan spends very little time listening to the patient's concerns, and a lot of time dictating notes in his recorder. He's very dry - not personable at all.
Las Vegas |
I am not impressed. I waited almost 4 weeks and $30 to be seen for less than 4 minutes. My issues were dismissed almost instantly, with the second half of those 4 minutes spent sitting there while he did dictation on a recorder. Bedside manner was non-existent while I was made to feel like I was making stuff up.

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
