I decided to become a physician during my third year in college. Initially I was a chemical engineering student. However I realized that I needed to act on my strong desire to help people and my medical career allows me to integrate my analytical abilities with that desire. I have learned much from my patients over the years not just about medicine. They have taught me about life and helped me to become a better doctor. It's important for me to understand why my patients feel the way they do. I listen to my patients and we work together as a team to achieve their goal of good health. Spending time with my family and friends is very important to me. I am married and my wife and I share seven children between us plus two dogs and a cat. We attend religious activities regularly and our faith is a big part of our family life. In order to stay physically active I cycle run and participate in karate.Read more
