Dr. Stapleton went to great lengths to explain what he would be doing and the reason for the necessity of my surgery. He also explained thoroughly what I would need to expect and do for optimal recovery. I have had two surgeries under his care with excellent results.

Dr. Timothy Stapleton recommended that I have this makoplasky knee surgery., This new procedure was to customize my particular knee with the right hardware..... I had MRIs CT scans and x-rays done.... I schedule my procedure on December 15th 2018....the day before my procedure he called and stated that the pathology and his colleague advise him not to do that type of surgery on me.... Well he was my doctor and he knew what was best for me and I'll be okay.... On that surgery day I received a broken tibia bone.... Had to be in a wheelchair for a couple of months.... Couldn't walk and very painful... Within three months I had to have a revision surgery done at Emory University where the doctor stated my surgery was a total failure... A simple procedure makoplasky downtime 2 to3 weeks.... My revision surgeryI had to have a bigger rod in my knee because of dr. Stapleton carelessness.... He have a I don't care attitude and a liar... Every chance I get I tell people about Him. He Don't Care

He performed the wrong surgery on my knee. When I spoke to the heads of two orthopedic surgery centers, they told me that not only was it the wrong surgery but also that he most likely did it so he could later do the correct surgery and get more money out of me. But the worst thing was when the surgery failed and my leg turned black he abandoned me. He wouldn't see me for follow up. I sat in my chair taking pain pills for 1.5 years before I went elsewhere. When the proper surgery was done, the doctor informed me that Dr. Stapleton had forgotten to properly glue the partial knee device into my leg, that the apparatus had come apart and trying to walk with the broken apparatus resulted in loss of bone, so my leg would never be OK again, no matter what. Subsequent surgery from someone else resulted in me being to walk again, but only with the assistance of a full leg brace and occasional narcotics for pain. Thanks to his poor care I will never ever walk properly for the rest of my life.

He gave me the wrong surgery left me crippled refused to see me when my leg turned black. Every time I tell my story in Macon people say I know who you’re talking about. He did the same to me. I have personally warned the Mercer administration that though he gave them a new stadium they should never seek treatment with him. They understood and agree.

Dr. Stapelton is one of the best around! He took the time to explain my condition, treatment options, and outcomes. I knew what to expect every step of the way. He was upfront and honest. He also was very encouraging before and after surgery.

Dr. Stapleton has great bedside manners and his office staff is very professional and courteous. I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to see him, and when he does come in he sits down and explains the issues and has a great sense of humor and really makes me feel like he cares, rather than just being another chart on his desk. He has performed a shoulder surgery on me and now is treating my knee and I would highly recommend him
