Mostly I appreciate Dr. O'Brien to set up the video relay service to communicate with him every time when I have an appointment due to my Deafness. It is very easy to communicate instead of writing forward and back. Thank you for understanding my needs.

I had a total hip replacement surgery by Dr. O'Brien. Immediately in recovery I had extreme pain, not typical for this surgery. O'Brien's response was "it's not my fault". For 10 months I have dealt with increase pain & diminished quality of life and have attempted to work with O'Brien to get relief. O'Brien did suggest the possibility of another surgery that would have to be done out of state. When a cortisone injection at O'Brien's recommendation failed to give relief, I called O'Brien's office for a referral to coordinate care - NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. The doctor I found in Denver requested an MRI; I called O'Brien's clinic & was told I could not get an MRI there because it wasn't prescribed by O'Brien. I recently received & submitted a survey regarding my care. The letter from the Dir of Ops stated "I am sorry that you don't feel like your surgery has had the desired outcome". Isn’t it the desire of the doctor & clinic for patients to have a positive outcome?

With Dr. O’Brien’s excellent care for the past 6 years, I have been able to continue my physical activity, to hike and cross country ski around Montana, mostly without pain in my knees. Moreover, Dr. O’Brien saved my shoulders when my tendons tore. He used, at my request, conservative treatment, all while thoroughly explaining the possible surgical options as well as potential consequences of the conservative treatment. I’m very happy with Dr. O’Brien and Jessie, and I highly recommend them!

Tim O'Brien replaced my hip . I could not walk ten feet. In 4 days I as able to walk 1 1/2 miles with no pain and have continued doing so every day. I was skeptical about is use of the lateral versus anterior surgical approach, but due to previous experiences at Alpine I proceeded. The ball on my femur was disintegrating due to skiing. His approach allowed him to see the situation better. In 15 days I was released for normal activities. I could not be happier with his skill and my new hip

After almost 40 years of increasing pain and instability in my right knee from a youthful ski accident, O'Brien's knee replacement surgery has restored almost complete function -- and I'm pain-free! Can't say enough about his surgical skill, as well as the excellent therapy I received from Jason Lunden at Excel PT. I highly recommend O'Brien and the rest of the team at Alpine. My only regret is not doing this surgery sooner!

July 2016 I returned to Dr. O'Brien to have him remove the plate and screws he put in 2 years ago to repair my broken clavical. Once again he was most patient with all my questions. He spent a good bit of time with me -listening!! The surgery was a breeze! True to his efficient, caring manner he reassured both myself and my husband. While I was in recovery he spoke with my husband explaining what he did and how the procedure went. Day after surgery his office called to check up on me.

After waiting over an hour past my appointment time I finally saw Dr. 0'Brien who came across as rude, condescending and dismissed most of my concerns and pain despite recent recommendation from my physical therapist to see an orthopedist. The office was unable to access X-rays from the injury/surgery done at a different orthopedic surgeon and it seemed like Dr. O'Brian and his PA had no interest in what I had to tell them about the injury.
