I called Beacon Internal Medicine about a problem for which I wanted to meet with my physician. My physician was unavailable but they recommended Dr. Loughran. The appointment was set up quickly. I arrived on time and the appointment was on time. Dr. Loughran asked me good questions, showed he cared about me and my issue and examined me. He explained what appeared to be happening, ordered tests and referred me to a specialist. He also indicated that if the specialist could not see me in a timely fashion he would have me come back in and he would explain the results of the testing. Dr. Loughran made me feel that he cared and would make sure I was cared for in a timely manner. I was very impressed!

Follow on visit 7 May. Dr. Loughran is very knowledgeable re internal medicine. He is extremely well prepared for the office visit and is digital savvy with medical records, test results and prescriptions right at his fingertips on his laptop screen. He gets right down to the point and will not waste your time. He reaches a logical diagnosis quickly. In my case he referred me to an excellent knee specialist. I would recommend him to my friends and family members.

Dr.Loughran is my primary care for only few years back. But I’m with Beacon Internal Medicine for almost 2 decades. He had never spent more than 10 minutes on every scheduled appointment. Often time he left me waited for a very long period time. He also very rare to look me in the eye while talking to me or shake my hand. I could go on and on for all his unprofessional manners but I choose to stop just there. I do believe he is still human. Having a noble job as a Doctor Isn’t easy as everyone thought. Maybe he was overwhelmed with his schedules or perhaps his own personal life. I won’t ask much from my doctor. I want a doctor who is willing to listen to my problems, help me to understand what making my life Isn’t enjoyable. Someone who care enough to look on every possible options to help me make my pain go away. I hope this would help Dr.Loughran to remember his oath as a doctor once again. Until he changed his attitude, I can’t recommend him to anyone.

He did not make eye contact or shake my hand during initial visit. He seemed rushed and spent an inordinate amount of time inputting information to computer rather than interviewing me. Hopefully next appointment will go better.

If I could give a negative star I would. He didn’t even make eye contact or shake my hand when greeting me. And this was my first time visit. Came to get a check up and was honest about my answers I gave on the intake form. Tried to prescribe me some antidepressants. I said I’d rather pass before I dive into medication and preceded to tell me I was in denial even though I admitted to occasional spouts of depression and anxiety. Afterwards he ordered a bunch of tests which I denied for financial reasons. When the nurse came back in I explained to her my situation. She talked to dr. Loughran and he said none of it was really necessary. To say the least it was my first and last time I’ll visit this office. If you’re looking for a prescription dr. Loughran will probably be your guy.
