I have seen him four times, and he has yet to do a neurological exam, A neurosurgeon from the same hospital referred me to him. He was told to do follow up for dystonia and MS. He has yet to do a follow up for MS, I cannot believe he has yet to even do a standard neurological exam. You can Never get a hold of him, don’t waste your time leaving a message with a nurse. He’s very friendly to talk to, but I don’t go there to talk I’d like to have an examination.

Dr was fairly thorough in his exam of husband with suspected Parkinson's Very personable Have been calling office for 5 days to obtain test results. Each time told Dr will return call within 24 hrs but still waiting. Don't know if it's due to front office staff or Dr but this is very unprofessional and inexcusable!

Awful experience..I was referred to a neurologist through a local ER doctor regarding 2 lesions located on an MRI. Arrived at my scheduled appointment with all records and scans. Basically was told after 15 minutes, there was nothing wrong with me. Exact quote "It's not MS, I didn't see your scans yet, but it's not MS and probably nothing anything at all" really? Had blood work done for Lyme, never called me with results. Went to John Hopkins. Guess what Dr. Leichliter. It is MS! Dont see him!!

He is the absolute best movement disorder specialist in Pittsburgh, and I have seen quite a few. He not only listens but gives you full disclosure of his treatment plan, hiding nothing.
