Dr. Timothy Cox, MD
Prior to coming to Bronson Battle Creek Oncology & Hematology, Dr. Cox practiced at the Karmanos Cancer Center- Northern Michigan for 3 and a half years. Dr. Cox received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and medical degree from the University of Rome. Rome, Italy. He returned to the U.S. where he did his residency in internal medicine at St. John Hospital, Detroit,Michigan and his fellowship in Medical Oncology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. For 18 years he was in private practice in Port Huron where he served as county medical society president, cancer liaison physician for the Commission on Cancer, and on multiple committees and boards. He has been involved in clinical cancer research since 1995 and is a clinical investigator, National Cancer Institute and was a principal investigator and member of the governing board of the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians Dr. Cox holds a private pilot's license.
