Tim Bert, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and hip arthroscopy. Dr. Bert received a bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was selected as a member of the National Dean's list. His medical degree was obtained from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at The University of Tennesse-Campbell Clinic, where the main textbook for orthopaedics is written. His orthopaedic sports fellowship was performed at the prestigious Kerlan Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, Calif. During his fellowship, he was an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Sparks, Anaheim Ducks, USC Athletic Department, and X games. Additionally, he covered multiple high school football teams throughout his residency and fellowship. Dr. Bert has a special interest in the treatment of sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip. He has a particular interest in hip arthroscopy and obtained additional training after fellowship under the nation's leading hip arthrscopists. He has authored several articles and book chapters as well as presented his research at multiple conferences. He is an active member of the Arthroscopic Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Bert is committed to providing the highest quality of treatment and service for his patients. He currently is the team physician for the Sereno Soccer Club of Arizona, High School Arizona Cycling League, and Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association. When not seeing patients in clinic, Dr. Bert enjoys alpine skiing, wakeboarding, golfing, mountain biking, racquetball and spending time with his two children and wife.
