Dr. Beck specializes in orthopedic surgery with an emphasis on foot & ankle and lower extremities. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Beck is the former President of the Texas Orthopaedic Association and has also served on the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a founding member of the Texas Orthopaedic Foundation. "I am deeply concerned about my patients' ability to resume their regular activities after they have been injured," Beck explains. "We take so much for granted…walking, running, climbing stairs. When I am working with a patient we are both focused on one thing — to restore as much normal function as possible. The good news is that the treatments that are available now are better then ever before and improving all the time." After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Dr. Beck completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic. He also completed a fellowship in Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas at Houston under Thomas Clanton, MD.
