Dr. Woodyard is wonderful! We had the best experience with him when he removed my husband's appendix. Our family doctor referred us to him. He stayed late on a Friday to meet with us in his office then immediately took him to the OR for surgery. He is very nice and caring. Very good bedside manner and will joke around with you and make you feel very comfortable. Great at explaining conditions. If we ever need any further surgical procedures, we will gladly go back to him! I highly recommend him.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Woodyard. He was very professional and very straight forward which I REALLY appreciated. He is a veteran ( thankful for his service) and well-respected and recommended by the hospital staff- which tells you a lot!!! And finally, to address some of the less positive comments about his manner. He is professional and objective. His is also kind and empathetic but perhaps not warm and fuzzy which is fine. Nurses usually fill that role. 5 stars!!!

So glad I went to see Dr Woodyard! He is the first doctor I have gone to that truly listened to my concerns, he even advised me that he did not want to do surgery on me! (Thank heavens!) After listening to my issue, a quick exam and discussion of all the other test I had been sent for he had a diagnosis that only required medication. The medication worked and at the follow up I was able to give him a thumbs up that I not only felt better but believe we fixed the issue.

I recently had a surgery with Dr. Woodward, that also required the help of Dr. McGill. The two doctors worked well together and took care of insurance and employer paperwork. They were very detailed and thorough in explaining to me what was going on and how they were going to fix th problem. They did many tests to make sure there were no other problems. I high recommend this doctor if you need a surgery in this field.
Forsyth, GA |
Dr. Woodyard performed gallbladder surgery on me. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Woodyard and his office staff. Minimal post op pain- no complications. Minimal wait time for follow up care. Dr. Woodyard took the time to carefully explain the procedure as well as risks. Highly recommend.
in Macon, GA |
After taking out my gall bladder, I told him I was still in pain every day and nauseous and throwing up every time I ate. He said, and I quote, "I can tell by your affect that you're not really in distress, so I'll give you some anti-nausea medication and you can go back to work in two weeks". He called me a liar. 9 days later, I was almost dead. I had a bleeding ulcer. By the time the ambulance got there, I had less than half the normal blood volume, 5.7 of 12, and a BP of 60/40.
Macon, GA |
Dr. Woodyard has a terrible bedside manner. His attitude is very poor. He is rude, dismissive, and not at all interested in talking with a patient and answering questions. I would NOT recommend Dr. Woodyard if you are expecting a doctor who cares about his patients. This doctor does not care.
in macon, ga |
I was referred to doctor woodyard for a surgical consultation for a hernia. He told me that I didn't have a hernia. He said he didn't know why I was having abdominal pain. But it was not a hernia. But just to be safe he would send me for a CT scan. He told me to go back to work (without restrictions). Two weeks later his office calls back to say the CT scan did show a hernia. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I expressed this to his staff they told me to find another doctor.
