This doctor knows what he is doing. My knee replacement went very well. My knee is now stronger than my other knee. Full movement, no pain, able to take stairs without aid up or down. He used robotic-assisted surgery.

Very pleased, the office staff was able to get me in as an emergency. I injured my hip and saw a previous Dr that didn't do really anything but then saw Dr Tanous and felt his actions was gratifying.

Very unsatisfied. I went to Dr Tanous regarding knee gel injections. I have a proven course of treatment I want to continue in Houston. Dr Tanous advised the brand of injections is up to insurance approval. My insurance will cover my proven treatment, but Advanced Orthopedics overruled this and will only administer the gel medication they stock onsite. The Revenue/Verification manager, Christy, advised the practice has lost money on the medication I want to continue, and they will not order that medication. I advised I have not met my deductible, so I will be paying upfront - no risk to the practice regarding payment. She stated they could not do that. Basically, when it comes to gel injections, when the insurance will cover either and the patient is paying upfront, the practice will only administer the medication they have bought and paid for. I am not willing to alter my course of treatment to buy the medication they have invested in, so I will need to find another Orthopedics office
