Thomas Stone, M.D. Dr. Stone has been a practicing retina specialist at Retina Associates of Kentucky since 2002. After residency and serving as the chief resident at Duke, he did his vitreoretinal fellowship at Emory University. He has also been, and continues to be, an invited speaker at numerous national meetings, and is the Editor of the PAT Survey (a survey of the worldwide retina community sponsored by the American Society of Retinal Specialists). He has published numerous articles and served as an advisory board member for numerous organizations. His clinical interests include macular degeneration, diabetes, uveitis and retinal detachments. Dr. Stone and his partners at Retina Associates of Kentucky are involved in cutting edge research on many retinal diseases including; wet and dry macular degeneration, histoplasmosis, and diabetes via the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network, or DRCR.
