I have just gotten surgery with Dr. Spalla and his bedside manner was a disgrace. He is cocky and overall just not a nice doctor. I dont recommend him at all.

Our 15-minute visit turned into a 'level 4' billing code given some of the incorrect information cited on our patient scorecard. This included such details as the doctor noting a 'failed removal' of cyst that we never attempted to have removed, a clear indication of his lack of involvement and concern with our health and preference for citing whatever details necessary to result in the largest insurance payment (or in this case our payment given our high deductible)

I have seen Dr Spalla a few times now for a deviated septum, nasal polyps, and all around terrible breathing issues year round. He made me feel comfortable with a treatment plan and after the follow up, we both decided removal of the polyps will be necessary. He will be performing that soon and I’m glad to have finally found a doctor that listens and is willing to be proactive with my medical care.

Many things about my appointment were off. I felt I was not listened to. I left with a list of unanswered and unaddressed questions. The nurse numbed my throat but the doctor never bothered to scope me so I was left with a sore throat for no reason. It was so awkward I didn’t even realize my appointment was over. He just wanted me to get up & leave. He didn’t get up from his desk or open the door. His “scribe” asked me if I wanted my coat which was my hint to get out of there. Waste of time & $

I met Dr. Spalla a few year back when I was diagnosed with vocal cancer. Being recommended to him was a godsend!!! I have seen many doctors for that cancer and the ONE I chose to keep returning to was Dr. Spalla! I am pleased to say that thanks to him and his knowledge, you would never even know I had cancer at all! He is nothing short of spectacular in his field!! You want a doctor that is more than just a doctor... you want one that is also human, and he is absolutely the best of both!!

I'm writing this as the father of one of his patients. My daughter is 21 and has had many episodes of strep throat over the years and during the last few months had tonsillitis that couldn't be resolved with strong antibiotics. Dr. Spalla built a comforting doctor-patient relationship with her prescribed a tonsillectomy, which he performed. Considering that she had her tonsils out today, she's doing great. I'm also writing this because the nurses at Cooper Surgical in Voorhees are great.

Too busy to answer calls and questions, after diagnosing a tumor. This Doctor and his staff does NOT return calls!!!! There's better and more responsive doctors out there.
