This content was provided by Dr. Smedberg ""I enjoy talking to patients, educating them about their conditions and treatment options and hearing about their goals for recovery. Typically, I prefer non-operative treatment options and resort to surgical options only when hey are absolutely necessary and in the patient's best interests.
"Being a good listener allows me to diagnose a patient's problem more easily and develop an effective treatment plan based on their unique needs. I always try to put myself in my patient's shoes to better understand how an injury or condition personally affects them. Then we work together to achieve the best possible results.""
