I was impressed
I got information from a support group on the type of place, and doctor I should be seeing after I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. I went to one of the PF Foundation’s recommend sites. I read their doctors bio’s and involvement with my type of disease. My first choice was Dr Thomas Schaumburg and I was very happy to get an appointment with him. I found him to be the exact opposite of what a couple of his reviews said. He wasn’t at all arrogant, in fact just the opposite. I did a LOT of research on my condition and he jived with everything I had found and came up with some new ideas, that when I researched afterwards, also seemed very accurate. I liked his approach to not being in a giant hurry to do a biopsy unless or until it becomes necessary as it carries its own set of possible issues. He emailed me about some test results and when I had a question he responded very quickly. I’m feeling really good about him. EVERYONE At The Oregon Clinic has been very pleasant and helpful

Avoid this Doctor At All Cost
Avoid this doctor at all cost. He treated my mom and OD’d her on experimental drugs and then got irritated when they didn’t work and caused more health ailments. She was in worse health after seeing him than she was before his “treatments.” He got angry and called her fat and told her not to come to him anymore because he had already done his job. He’s arrogant, sloppy and doesn’t care about his patients at all. Ruthless is what I would call him. Don’t take your loved ones to him. When your health is failing you need someone kind caring and effective. He has none of that.

He was assigned to me while I was in Milwaukie Providence Hospital. He never once listened to me while I was trying to explain that one medicine they were giving me had never helped and was causing the problems that caused me to end up in ICU. He also prescribed or at least was aware of the prescription (amiodarone) that nearly caused me to die and even now, 3 months later I am still on oxygen. I consider this smug egotist a threat to patient's lives. I would never go near his office.
