Care Philosophy

I have over 20 years of clinical experience in neurology and sleep disorders medicine both in group and private practice settings. I have been a patient, and appreciate both sides of the fence the uncertainty that neurologic disease can cause. In the almost 20 years that I have provided solo neurology care in rural Pennsylvania where there was no other neurologist, I tried to function as if there were six people across the street who could do exactly the same job as I do, only better. I am proficient in neurologic diagnostic testing including EEG or Electroencephalography, EMG or electromyography and nerve conduction testing, and all forms of hospital-based and portable PSG or polysomnography (sleep testing). I am comfortable with diagnosis and management of all forms of general neurologic disease and I am equally comfortable recommending a subspecialty opinion for patients when that is the proper cause.

Dr. Pearson and the staff at his office (including the receptionist and the technician) really went out of their way for me. I was heading out of country for work but had an increasing problem with sleeping. They not only squeezed me in for an appointment, but also, the technician ran my EEG over her lunch break! They were all so friendly and overall sincere about making sure that I received the care and answers that I needed. I would 100% recommend Dr. Pearson without hesitation.

My husband and I have long been patients of Dr. Pearson... To be blunt... He saved our lives.... He is professional, he listens and he is the most honest dr I know.... I do take pain pills at time but see a pain specialist for that.... He diagnosed my stroke b4 anyone else... He also found my husband's legal blindness and set us on the right path to treatmentl... I love him and would follow him anywhere... Diane Grashot (and Louis Grashot)

I have been a patient for 3 years and have recommended him to my daughter. He takes the time to question and explain. He stays current in his field and involves patient in decision-making. As an added plus, he is also a really nice guy. http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Thomas_O_Pearson/reviews#ixzz4JN7hJZZC

I have seen Dr. Pearson twice for neuropathy issues. I was very pleased with his ability to show genuine concern for my health issues. He immediately makes you feel at ease and has a wonderful personality! He made me feel able to freely tell him symptoms without making me feel rushed, which is rare these days . He explained what and why he chose the test he was giving and thoroughly explained my results. I wish all my Dr.'s had his disposition and knowledge. Excellent Dr. in my opinion.
