Most unprofessional healthcare encounter In my life. The receptionist is distracted And acts bothered from the moment you check-in. Worse though The Dr. is unorganized, unprofessional, and only concerned with getting you out of his office. ****FOR A VA C&P EXAM****do EVERYTHING you can to have it rescheduled with someone competent. He over prescribed narcotic meds at such crazy amounts the pharmacy was always confused and concerned. If you care about yourself or your family? go somewhere else!

My wife had a very serious neck injury in approximately 2009 that was life threatening. We had a very difficult time getting a diagnosis until we saw Dr. Mulgrew. He diagnosed the problem quickly and referred my wife for immediate surgery by another doctor in another city. Everything about him was competent and professional. I cannot believe the negative reviews. Perhaps folks were told things they did not want to hear? I would go back to him anytime.

Low Interest Be careful: if you have a disease that has poorly established etiology and treatment parameters, he will simply stop treating you. I have huge deficits in quality of life from my symptoms. Dr. Mulgrew diagnosed me with a disease, but stated point blank that there is nothing much he can do about it and sent me home. He claims that other doctors "will probably have low interest as well." That is a verbatim quote. He is not the only doctor in the world. Look for another one.

I went to Dr. Mulgrew for cognitive decline w/ shoulder/wrist pain. Wasn't seeking pain medication but was looking for a diagnosis. He was convinced by looking at me that my issue was due to fatness. When I refused to agree to a diagnosis of needs to diet (as my issues started after losing 80lbs) he yelled at me & told me he wouldn't investigate my illness, told me to come back when I went blind or couldn't walk. I have a rare autoimmune/neurological disease it turns out. Not caused by fat.

One of the worst medical experiences I have had was an appt. with this man. I was shocked at how dirty and cluttered his office was. Poor attention from the "receptionist" who was more interested in watching her tv shows. The man (he does not deserve the term "doctor") yawned the whole time he was talking to me and gave me no help for my problem and made suggestions that were highly questionable.

I am reading these horrible reviews and am just stunned. He is very thorough with his patients he gave me a diagnosis after ordering a lot of blood work and stated i had MS. The first neurologist stated i had a stroke. I had this diagnosis confirmed with a spinal tap. He gives you all sorts of avenues in regards to your needs. As far as taking some one off you pain meds, its a great way to see if it was working and there might be something else you can do or take that works better.

This "Doctor" is extremely unprofessional and his office looks like he lives there. The office was dark and cluttered. I was sent to him for a Compensation and Pension physical for the VA. He did not take appropriate protocols for his procedures (alcohol wipe down of the skin before prior to inserting needles.) His "examination/procedure room" was a storeroom. To top it off his report and what he told me verbally were entirely different. He claimed tests he never performed.
