His response to knee pain? Don't bend it. What an idiot.
in Grand Rapids, MI |
My first surgery w/ Dr. Matelic was back in the early 2000's. Dr. Matelic did arthroscopy my right knee, repairing the meniscus. He was very honest in telling me what to expect, approximate time I would be off of work and what discomfort I would have later down the road. After 4 months, I had no pain at all. My second surgery came in January of 2017, when he repaired multiple problems with my left shoulder. After 3 weeks, my pain level is half what is was before the surgery. More to follow

Absolutely horrible, I seen 4 different Doctors and he was the only one who said there was nothing he could do and I would have to live with a none spur that was causing immense pain I would not recommend.
in Portland, MI |
I would highly recommend Dr. Matelic to anyone considering joint replacement. He was so friendly and answered every question I had and never rushed me. I followed his instructions to the letter for pre op and post op and my recovery time from total knee replacement has been nothing short of miraculous. His staff is the most attentive bunch I've ever dealt with calling me 1 -2 times per week just to see how I'm doing. It's been almost 3 months and they still call.
