I was already in a heightened emotional state due to my injury, and will only get worse if I am not aware of what is happening. Everything happened so fast as I was admitted through the E.R. I was first advised by E.R. staff I would need to go home, call to schedule an appointment, then have surgery (which could take 6 days or so, per their timeline). I was admitted for observation (Saturday) & within hours I was advised I would be getting an Ortho consult. After the consult (Sunday morning), it was determined I will be having surgery (Monday), one ankle was fitted with a boot while I prepared myself for surgery. Dr Kovack is very pleasant & kind. He had no issue discussing my procedure in detail. He was positive while being honest. It has been easy communicating with his office, as well.

Dr Kovack has completed total joint replacement on both my shoulders and the outcome results have been excellent! For about 15 years I was unable to fully lift my left shoulder followed by deterioration of my right shoulder joint . As my left joint became frozen it got the the point I was no longer able to swim or do much of anything above my head. After my surgery and therapy I have been amazed at the difference. I now have no pain or limitations in moving my shoulder. I highly recommend him!

I had a total shoulder replacement with Dr. Kovack and an just thrilled with the results. Dr. Kovack takes plenty of time with patients, his staff is excellent; and his results are just amazing. The recuperation was not at all difficult and his staff is always available to answer questions. Anthony Long and Tyler Hansen are the physical therapists on Dr. Kovack's team and they do wonderful work. Dr. Kovack is in frequent touch with them and they know exactly what you need to do.

I went in for an initial visit with Dr. Kovack on a Tuesday. He ordered a MRI. By Thursday his office had not even contacted my insurance company for an approval for the MRI because his notes had not been transcribed yet... and I am standing by in pain. Either they are understaffed or there is no sense of urgency. Either way, I decided to go to Orthopedic One.

Dr Kovack did a great job on my shoulder 4 years ago with a total arthroscopic biologic shoulder resurfacing. It has been good as new and I avoided a total shoulder replacement. I am very pleased with his care and the results!

Dr. Kovack and his team provide the type of experience that each person/patient should have. For those that have been told that you really don’t have any more options for your shoulders please go see him as you won’t be disappointed. Shoulder resurfacing provides options for those with no options so thank you. He is the kind of surgeon/physician who takes to the time to formulate treatment plans with realistic expectations that can give you your life back. He does this without making you feel “r

I had a total biological shoulder resurfacing with ostechondral allograft & bovine collagen patch on my rotator cuff on Friday June 22nd. I have had 11 previous surgeries with other doctors from a old work injury. This was about the last resort before a conventional replacement which I’ve been told I’m too young for. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Kovack & his staff. He prayed with me before surgery & I just feel so comfortable with him. Will see his things go but I have faith in him.

Having experienced 4 shoulder dislocations, torn rotator, detached bicep and two other surgeries over the past 50 years I thought that I was just going to have to live with the pain but Dr. Kovack came up with a plan and did a total resurfacing along with repairing my bicep and rotator. Five months post surgery I am pain free and my mobility is already better than what I had prior to surgery. The post surgery physical therapy from Anthony Long and Tyler Hansen was fantastic! Highly recommended!

The first doctor I saw told me that I needed to have my shoulder replaced. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kovack and he told me that total shoulder resurfacing would correct the issues I was having with range of motion and pain. Two months after my shoulder resurfacing surgery I had full range of motion and could, once again, complete daily activities with ease. Anthony Long and Tyler Hanson are excellent physical therapists. I highly recommend Dr. Kovack and his entire staff!

I am so pleased with the outcome of my surgery with Dr. Kovack. His alternative to shoulder replacement was just what I was looking for. Three and a half months after surgery I am pleased to say that I have total mobility. I am very pleased with the results and I would highly recommend Dr. Kovack.

Dr. Kovack and his team were great! With this (torn rotator cuff) being my first major injury, I found them to be very knowledgeable, comforting, and supportive throughout the entire process. I especially found his relationship with the physical therapy staff to be essential to my recovery process. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Dr. Kovack completed a partial rotator cuff repair, partial labrum repair, biceps tenodesis, and bone spur removal with a Bovine patch on my left shoulder in November of 2017. To date, my results have exceeded expectations and the ATI physical therapy staff (specifically Anthony Long, Tyler Hanson and Kris Berry) at Hand and Microsurgery are excellent. It is hard to imagine a better surgical or physical therapy experience.

I was told by another surgeon that I would live with pain in my left shoulder for the rest of my life and every three or four months he would give me a cortisone injection to help ease the pain. I contacted Dr. Kovack who performed surgery on my shoulder and he told me that my life style of hard work with my shoulders had to change. I consider the surgery as successful.

I had my 3rd rotator cuff surgery on July 12. This was my first surgery with Dr Kovack. Several doctors I had seen about this injury were suggesting a reverse shoulder. I wasn't ready for that and so I did lots of research to find out what could be done and who could repair the damage. I located Dr Kovack here in Columbus. He stated immediately how he would correct my injury. Surgery and post op physical therapy went well. 5 months later I'm back at my massage office! Highly recommended!! Ken
