I recommend Dr. Kovack with great confidence!
My experiences with Dr. Kovack have always been great! He replaced my left knee 2 yrs ago and everything went quite well. I am now having a problem with my right knee which I am sure he will correct. He always explains my problems so that I understand and can make a good decision concerning my care. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Kovack with great confidence.

Shoulder surgery
I had a Shoulder replacement surgery in March. Dr Kovack explained the surgery very thoroughly and I felt very comfortable with the surgery. I am 8 weeks post op and doing great. I still have a little ways to go but I am thrilled with my outcome and it is truly miraculous that I am able to move my shoulder with no pain. I am doing Physical Therapy twice a week and super thrilled with my progress. I honestly wish I would have done the surgery years ago. I highly recommend Dr Kovack and I very pleased with my surgery and how the surgery went and my outcome.

Dr Kovack is extremely thorough
He and his staff have been very helpful post-surgery as well as pre-surgery. The PT instructions provided were the most thorough that my doctor of physical theory has seen, she commented on.

Minor tear of the rotator cup, great advice and direction. Dr. Kovack recommended a shot of cortisone and physical therapy to see if minor tear will heal on its own. Love the option of PT vs just jumping into a surgical repair.

Fantastic MD
Dr. K is extremely knowledgeable and has a great bed side manner. He was my ER doctor when I broke my hip and I have had no issues with my hip since that surgery. Sad that his area of focus has now changed, but very fortunate to have had him as my surgeon. Hi

Worst experience ever! Don’t recommend this establishment. Been having several issues post the first surgery, including numbness around fingers. Additional due to frozen shoulder issues I had another surgery where the biscep was realigned and since been having biceps issues. Certain motion cause a jolt to this day! I completed 60 on-site therapy sessions too but has not been fruitful, my copay was 30 or so for each visit. Post insurance coverage, they wanted 300 per PT session!! This org is very prompt is collecting what is owed which is fine if the results back it up! During my initial visit post surgery, I apparently passed out during a doctor visit . This establishment apparently didn’t carry a blood pressure monitor to check my BP! They said that I will have to go to my primary doc! How does a practice such as this don’t carry basic medical devices!

I was already in a heightened emotional state due to my injury, and will only get worse if I am not aware of what is happening. Everything happened so fast as I was admitted through the E.R. I was first advised by E.R. staff I would need to go home, call to schedule an appointment, then have surgery (which could take 6 days or so, per their timeline). I was admitted for observation (Saturday) & within hours I was advised I would be getting an Ortho consult. After the consult (Sunday morning), it was determined I will be having surgery (Monday), one ankle was fitted with a boot while I prepared myself for surgery. Dr Kovack is very pleasant & kind. He had no issue discussing my procedure in detail. He was positive while being honest. It has been easy communicating with his office, as well.

Dr Kovack has completed total joint replacement on both my shoulders and the outcome results have been excellent! For about 15 years I was unable to fully lift my left shoulder followed by deterioration of my right shoulder joint . As my left joint became frozen it got the the point I was no longer able to swim or do much of anything above my head. After my surgery and therapy I have been amazed at the difference. I now have no pain or limitations in moving my shoulder. I highly recommend him!

I had a total shoulder replacement with Dr. Kovack and an just thrilled with the results. Dr. Kovack takes plenty of time with patients, his staff is excellent; and his results are just amazing. The recuperation was not at all difficult and his staff is always available to answer questions. Anthony Long and Tyler Hansen are the physical therapists on Dr. Kovack's team and they do wonderful work. Dr. Kovack is in frequent touch with them and they know exactly what you need to do.

I went in for an initial visit with Dr. Kovack on a Tuesday. He ordered a MRI. By Thursday his office had not even contacted my insurance company for an approval for the MRI because his notes had not been transcribed yet... and I am standing by in pain. Either they are understaffed or there is no sense of urgency. Either way, I decided to go to Orthopedic One.

For those that have been told that you really don’t have any more options for your shoulders please go see him as you won’t be disappointed. Shoulder resurfacing provides options for those with no options so thank you. He is the kind of surgeon/physician who takes to the time to formulate treatment plans with realistic expectations that can give you your life back. He does this without making you feel “r

I had a total biological shoulder resurfacing with ostechondral allograft & bovine collagen patch on my rotator cuff on Friday June 22nd. I have had 11 previous surgeries with other doctors from a old work injury. This was about the last resort before a conventional replacement which I’ve been told I’m too young for. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Kovack & his staff. He prayed with me before surgery & I just feel so comfortable with him. Will see his things go but I have faith in him.
